Yeh din kyaa aaye...

I had completely missed this song while watching the film. While listening to other songs I came across this one and really enjoyed listening to it and watching it. What a beautiful story it is. I loved the film for the fact that I got so annoyed with Asrani character's behavior and felt so sorry for Amol Palekar's character. And it was so satisfying to see the latter get even later on. Just goes to say how well they acted, on direction of Basu Chatterjee of course. :)

This one is sung by Mukesh and beautiful music is by none other than Salil Chaudhary. Lyrics are by Yogesh. First time I heard of this lyricist.

(yeh din kyaa aaye lage phool hansne
dekho basanti basanti hone lage mere sapne) (2)
yeh din kyaa aaye lage phool hansne

(awesome music plays here!)

(sone jaisi ho rahi hai har subah meri
lage har saanjh ab gulaal se bhari) (2)
chalne lagi mehki hui pawan magan jhoom ke
aanchal teraa choom ke
yeh din kyaa aaye lage phool hansne
dekho basanti basanti hone lage mere sapne
yeh din kyaa aaye lage phool hansne

(wahaan mann baanwaraa aaj ud chalaa
jahaan par hai gagan salonaa saanwalaa) (2)
jaa ke wahin rakh de kahin man rango mein khol ke
sapne yeh anmol se
(yeh din kyaa aaye lage phool hansne
dekho basanti basanti hone lage mere sapne) (2)
yeh din kyaa aaye lage phool hansne

(sone jaisi ho rahi hai har subah meri
lage har saanjh ab gulaal se bhari) (2)
chalne lagi mehki hui pawan magan jhoom ke
aanchal teraa choom ke
yeh din kyaa aaye lage phool hansne
dekho basanti basanti hone lage mere sapne
yeh din kyaa aaye lage phool hansne

Chanda Dekhe Chanda...

Just got to listen to this song for the first time yesterday. What a beauty! Fell in love with it instantly. It reminded me of tere mere milan ki yeh raina of Abhimaan and at other times took me back to piya tose naina laage re of Guide.

It's sung by the same two singers, probably that's why the similarities and the music is, of course, by none other than the copy king so it's possible he actually got "inspired" by the SBD music. ;)

In any case, the song is lovely nevertheless and so if you can get your hands on VCD/DVD of Jhoothi, check it out, if you haven't already. I adore Raj Babbar in this one and Amol Palekar looks handsome and cute both as always. :) Supriya Pathak her skinny and pretty self along with beautiful ladies Rekha and Prema Narayan and funny Deven just make the song more fun to watch. :D The atmosphere/picturization is so cool, everyone in *chillin* mode and smiling. Wish I was there...

M: chandaa dekhe chandaa
to woh chandaa sharmaaye
chandaa dekhe chandaa
gori gori chaandni mein
gori jab muskaaye

F: jiyaa bole piyaa
to yeh jiyaa sharmaaye
jiyaa bole piyaa
gori gori chaandni mein
piyaa jab muskaaye
jiyaa bole piyaa

M: (chaand se maathe pe bindiya jhilmilaaye aise
chaand sooraj raat mein ek saath chamke aise) (2)
ji kare yeh umar yoon hi dekhte kat jaaye
F: jiyaa bole piyaa
to yeh jiyaa sharmaaye
jiyaa bole piyaa

(here it some how reminds me of "tere mere milan ki yeh raina" of Abhimaan)

F: (nain ban jaate hai ghunghat man dulhan ki aashaa
baanchate hai jab nayan tere nayan ki bhaashaa) (2)
nain mein chhup kar mere mujhko tu mujhse churaaye
M: chandaa dekhe chandaa
to woh chandaa sharmaaye
chandaa dekhe chandaa

F: aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa

M: (preet ke rang mein rangaa hai teraa udtaa aanchal
F: maine baandhaa hai isi mein ek deewaanaa paagal) (2)
M: aanchal ki chhaayaa mein yeh paagal jiye mar jaaye
F: jiyaa bole piyaa
to yeh jiyaa sharmaaye
gori gori chaandni mein
piyaa jab muskaaye

M: chandaa dekhe chandaa
to woh chandaa sharmaaye
gori gori chaandni mein
gori jab muskaaye

F: jiyaa bole piyaa

M: chandaa dekhe chandaa

Aanewala Pal Jaanewala Hai

So Zahida asked today: What Song is an Inspiration To You?
Is there any particular song that gives you a positive feeling when U are feeling down?? Please share your favourite songs that really inspires you in life.

And the only one I could think of was this one. This is one song I never get tired of listening or watching...
Kishore Kumar's voice sweet as honey and Gulzar sahab's lyrics with RDB music! That's a totally deadly combo. And the song is a treat to watch because of Hrishida's direction.

hummmm aha ha ha hey hey hey...

aanewala pal jaanewala hai (2)
ho sake to iss mein zindagi bitaa do
pal jo yeh jaanewala hai ho ho

aanewala pal jaanewala hai
ho sake to iss mein zindagi bitaa do
pal jo yeh jaanewala hai ho ho

ek baar yoon mili maasoom si kali(2)
ho khilte hue kahaan pushpaash mein chali
dekhaa to yahin hai dhoondhaa to nahin hai
pal jo yeh jaanewala hai ho ho
aanewala pal jaanewala hai
ho sake to iss mein zindagi bitaa do
pal jo yeh jaanewala hai

ek baar waqt se lamhaa giraa kahin (2)
wahaan dastaan mili lamhaa kahin nahin
thodaa sa hansaa ke thodaa sa rulaa ke
pal yeh bhi jaanewala hai ho ho
aanewala pal jaanewala hai
ho sake to iss mein zindagi bitaa do
pal jo yeh jaanewala hai ho ho
aanewala pal jaanewala hai (2)
