The first time I had heard this one was during the SaReGaMaPa days in 2007. I kind of got annoyed with Himesh and didn't really listen to it with so much interest back then. After all these years, I got to listen to it again and I realized how beautiful this song is, not just the lyrics but the singing and music too. Love those tabla that play in the background. Wow!! Totally *mindblowing*

And now I love it so much, I can't stop listening to it. What a heart rendering and meaningful song...

This is my second fav song of JWM after aaoge jab tum. I wish it had more stanzas so I'd get to hear more of Ustad Sultan Khan. It's a beautiful song by him and Shaan.

What I adore about some of these songs is how they fit into the story so wonderfully. Papu was explaining the other day how sometimes the songs are written earlier but then they could be written after the story is written too. I find it mind blowing how the lyricists come up with the (part of) story in the song for that particular scene(s).

Early this week, when I watched JWM again, and I realized what a beautiful song this film has. I had liked the movie quite a lot for the story but now I have yet another reason to watch it again and again, specially for this song. What an awesome song! I can't begin to describe it. You just have to listen to it to appreciate it.

First time, I am listening to Ustad Rashid Khan's singing. He is fantastic! Gotta search on MIO for more of his work.

These days I am getting addicted to the duets of Shreya and Sonu. These guys are truly awesome! After a long time we've got a pair of singers in HFM that are defined by the quality singing they do. I adore their singing and all those aalaap and murkiya in this one. The lyrics are simple but the music is quite unique and upbeat, which makes the song even more fun to listen to.

This has been my most favorite recent song! Even watching the song is a treat as it doesn't include any of the four dozen dancers in glittery skimpy costumes dancing in back or the camera moving as if it was mounted on exploding volcano or a rocking boat. Konkona Sen Sharma looks simple and beautiful and Kunal Kapoor looks very handsome and the queen of Bollywood , Madhuri looks stunning... I think I will watch the film just for the sake of this song and for Mrs. Nene.

Bheegaa aasmaan...

Discovered this crazy song a couple of weeks back, when I was searching for cute romantic numbers from the recent movies. I haven't been able to find them very successfully but I got stuck to this one bad.

I just can't get it out of my head, it's been that crazy... sounds quite ridiculous song at first but then I think it grows on to you. Now every time I want to cheer myself up or get out of the boredom, I turn this one on! I enjoy listening to Shaan and Vijay Yesudas both, but what amazed me was that how their voice match with more than one guys in the song video (which I also saw today for the first time). It is a fun fun song...

This song also reminds me of "it's the time to disco" (Kal Ho Na Ho) and the music in some places reminds me of a track from A Night at the Roxbury - I can't figure out which at the moment... but until then I am going to go back to listening to "bheega aasmaan" and chill.

Since last couple of days I have gone crazy for this song. Can't stop listening to it. I've lost the count now. It is mind-blowing, literally! The first time I heard this song was on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 when Poonam Yadav sang this. She did quite a remarkable job. I adore her version of the song as well. In fact, I like that one more than the original but even the original is fantastic!

Just came across a beautiful album and even more beautiful track recently. I found it when I read a message where someone who has quality taste in music recommending this album to others. That's when I downloaded and started listening to it. Now I am totally addicted to this track. The female version of the song is by Shreya Ghoshal and male version by Sonu Nigam. Both are sung very nicely but I am partial for Sonu's version. First time I am listening to the names of the music director and lyricists. They've done an awesome job! You will know when you listen to all 20 tracks of this album. Don't miss this one for sure.

The first thing you notice about this Latin style dance number is its catchy tune and if you're watching it... you just keep watching Abhay Deol and Minissha Lamba dancing away their tango style dance. What a fantastic song! Vishal Shekhar have done awesome job in bringing that charm to the song with their music. I'm becoming their bigger fan with each song I hear of theirs. Sunidhi is simply superb! It's fashion out there to compose songs that are her style, hit style. What was like icing on the cake was to hear Reecha Tripathi of Canada on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 sing this song with such ease. She's truely done justice to the song. Hopefully we will get to hear more of her and more of such sweet numbers from Vishal Shekhar as they gain more and more popularity among fans.
