Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye Humdum...

While I was listening to main tere pyaar ka... I stumbled upon this lovely piano number from Love in Tokyo. It's been quite a few years since I watched this movie so I had forgotten about this song completely.

It was great fun watching the song and of course the eyelids-batting wide-hipped Asha Parekh looking stunning in that killer-red saari and glittery look!! and Joy Mukherjee soooooo handsome and quite sane! (You should watch this pair in "Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon" - a complete entertainment package!) And Pran just looks fabulous, what a personality! which again brings me back to this trio in PWDLH but that's whole another topic and I would rather make another post for that.

Until then... enjoy the SJ, LM and HJ magic!

(mujhe tum mil gaye humdum sahaaraa ho to aisa ho
jidhar dekhoo udhar tum ho nazaara ho to aisa ho) (2)
mujhe tum mil gaye humdum

kisi kaa chaand saa chehraa nazar se choom leti hoon (2)
khushi ki intahaa yeh hai nashe mein zoom leti hoon
nashe mein zoom leti hoon
hui takadeer bhi roshan sitaaraa ho to aisa ho
jidhar dekhoo udhar tum ho nazaara ho to aisa ho
mujhe tum mil gaye humdum

meri aankhon mein aansoo hai magar aansoo khushi ke hai (2) [dramatic violin music adds so much to the feeling of this stanza]

kise chhodoon kise paa loon yeh rishte zindagi ke hai
yeh rishte zindagi ke hai
hume to naaz hai tum par humaaraa ho to aisa ho
jidhar dekhoo udhar tum ho nazaara ho to aisa ho
mujhe tum mil gaye humdum

(I can't recall where I have heard these oh-so-familiar piano tunes)

udhar dil hai idhar jaan hai ajab mushkil kaa saamaan hai (2)
labon par muskuraahat hai magar saanson mein toofaan hai
magar saanson mein toofaan hai
yeh main jaanoo yaa tum jaano ishaaraa ho to aisa ho
jidhar dekhoo udhar tum ho nazaara ho to aisa ho
mujhe tum mil gaye humdum
