Tum Ko Dekha To Yeh Khayaal Aaya...

One of the songs that I enjoy watching more than just listening to it. Deepti Naval has a very beautiful smile. This song shows that simple hairdos and simple cotton salwars too can make the girl look beautiful beyond words. Farooq Sheikh looks so handsome and kindhearted. And beautiful lyrics adorn this slow song.

M: hmm hmm hmm hmm
F: hmm hmm hmm
aa aa aa aa

M: hmm hmm hmm
(tum ko dekhaa to yeh khayaal aayaa
zindagi dhoop tum ghanaa saayaa) (2)

aaj phir dil ne ek tamannaa kee (2)
aaj phir dil ko hum ne samjhaayaa (2)
zindagi dhoop tum ghanaa saayaa
tum ko dekhaa to yeh khayaal aayaa

tum chale jaaoge to sochenge (2)
hum ne kyaa khoyaa hum ne kyaa paayaa (2)
zindagi dhoop tum ghanaa saayaa
tum ko dekhaa to yeh khayaal aayaa

hum jise gun-gunaa nahin sakte (2)
waqt ne aisaa geet kyo gaayaa (2)
zindagi dhoop tum ghanaa saayaa
tum ko dekhaa to yeh khayaal aayaa

Tujhko Na Dekhu To

I know it isn't Father's day or anything but we don't need any day like that to remember special moments spent with our dads, do we? To all the dads and kids out there...

One of my favorite songs of Akshay Kumar.

M: tujhko na dekhu to jee ghabrata hai (2)
dekh ke tujhko dil ko mere chain aata hai (2)
yeh kaisa rishta hai kaisa naata hai (2)
dekh ke tujhko dil ko mere chain aata hai (2)

F: aa aa aa... aa aa aa aa

M: (har gham utha loon tanha akela
tere liye hai khushiyon ka mela) (2)
saara sansaar doon jeevan bhi vaar doon
jitna kahe tu utna main pyaar doon (2)
yeh tera mukhda hi mujhko bhaata hai (2)
dekh ke tujhko dil ko mere chain aata hai (2)

F: (tum mere daddy tum meri maa ho
tum mera dil ho tum meri jaan ho) (2)
bachpan ki dor ka yeh nata tod ke
daddy kabhi mujhe na jaana chhod ke (2)
mere liye tu kitna dard uthaata hai (2)
dekh ke tujhko dil ko mere chain aata hai

Tumhe Main Agar Apna Saathi

Listened to this one for the first time today. It sounds so familiar but I can't recall what it sounds like.

The best duets in HFM are sung by Asha & Rafi.

(F: tumhe main agar apnaa saathi banaa loon
bataa do meraa saath doge kahaan tak
M: zameen se jahaan aasmaan mil rahaa hai
na chhodenge daaman tumhaaraa wahaan tak) (2)

F: (yahan har kadam par nayi dilkashi hai
kahaan tak tumhaaraa bharosaa karoon main ) (2)
M: duaa hai ke benoor ho jaaye aankhen
kisi yaar ki to tamannaa karoon main
F: tumhe main agar apnaa saathi banaa loon
bataa do meraa saath doge kahaan tak
M: zameen se jahaan aasmaan mil rahaa hai
na chhodenge daaman tumhaaraa wahaan tak

F: aa aa aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa aa aa

M: (salaamat hai jab tak yeh zulfon ke saaye
to phir kis ko jannat ka armaan hogaa) (2)
F: tumhaare hi kadmon mein marnaa huaa to
yeh marnaa mujhe kitnaa aasaan hogaa
tumhe main agar apnaa saathi banaa loon
bataa do meraa saath doge kahaan tak
M: zameen se jahaan aasmaan mil rahaa hai
na chhodenge daaman tumhaaraa wahaan tak

Chain Aap Ko Mila...

One of the most beautiful songs of Shaan. And it's such a fun to watch this song... everyone rocks including the singers!

One thing I find so interesting is why Shaan always sings with his mouth in a mile-wide-smile position. I wonder whether he sings a sad song like that too. ;)

First song ever I watched that has "parents" characters of film dancing like this. :P

By the way, if you're wondering, this song initially came in a film named Footpath (2003) and was sung by Asha Bhosle and S.P. Balasubramaniam. Nadeem Shravan then went on to have the same one in Hungama by different singers of course. The first one also had Aftaab Shivdasani. I'll have to watch that song. Too bad the Hungama one doesn't have him in it. But I tell you he looks fantabulous in it with that hot unshaven look in some of the scenes. *faints* Of course, Akshaye also looks very handsome!

M: hey hey hey hey la la la la
hey hey hey hey aa ha ha
hm hm hm hm la la la la
la la la la la la la la la
chain aap ko mila mujhe deewaangi mili
hosh aap ko mila mujhe to bekhudi mili
phir bhi pyaar aap se hi karta hai dil

F: chain aap ko mila mujhe deewaangi mili
ho ho ho hosh aap ko mila mujhe to bekhudi mili
phir bhi pyaar aap se hi karta hai dil
M: chain aap ko mila mujhe deewaangi mili

(chorus)

M: manaaoon to ise main kaise
yeh dil deewaana hai na maane
bataaoon to bhala main kaise
yeh ishq kya hai yeh na jaane
shedaayi main tera hua tujhko nahin hai yeh pata aa aa

F: jaam aap ko mila mujhe to berukhi mili
ho ho ho hosh aap ko mila mujhe to bekhudi mili
phir bhi pyaar aap se hi karta hai dil
M: chain aap ko mila mujhe deewaangi mili

F: koi kisi pe jaan de de
koi kare hai bevafaayi
yeh faaslon ka dard kya hai
yeh jaanti hai bas judaai
tujhse mili jab se nazar deewaani main ho gayi ee ee ee

M: neend aap ko mili mujhe to bebasi mili
haan haan haan hosh aap ko mila mujhe to bekhudi mili
phir bhi pyaar aap se hi karta hai dil
F: chain aap ko mila mujhe deewaangi mili

Hum Ne Tum Ko Dil Yeh De Diya

Heard this one recently somewhere and liked it quite a lot. Video isn't that much fun as the song itself, but I guess that's new generation song for you. It's a fun song to listen to nevertheless.

F:
(hum ne tum ko dil yeh de diya
yeh bhi na poochha kaun ho tum) (2)
yeh faisla jo dil ne kiya (2)
yeh faisla jo dil ne kiya to
yeh bhi na socha kaun ho tum

M: hum ne tum ko dil yeh de diya
yeh bhi na poochha kaun ho tum

dil hai ke maanta nahin
is dil pe kis ka zor hai
teri aor kheencha jaa raha hoon
jaane yeh kaisi dor hai

F: tum ko hai kuch ho gaya
aahon pe aahen bharte ho
deewaane ho tum deewaane
deewaani baat karte ho

M: hum to chalo
hum to chalo deewaane sahi par
apni bataao kaun ho tum

F: arre hum ne tum ko dil yeh de diya
yeh bhi na poochha kaun ho tum

M: yeh faisla jo dil ne kiya (2)
yeh faisla jo dil ne kiya tab
yeh bhi na socha kaun ho tum

F: aa aa aa aa aa (2)
tum pe yakeen aa gaya
yeh kaisa aitbaar hai
kya hai yeh dil ki bebasi
ya naam is ka pyaar hai

M: yoon hi nahin bechain hoon
yoon hi nahin betaab hoon
tumne dekha tha jo kal
maano wohi main khwaab hoon

F: aankhon ne
aankhon ne aankhon mein dekh kar
yeh pehchaana kaun ho tum

M: hum ne tum ko dil yeh de diya
yeh bhi na poochha kaun ho tum
yeh faisla jo dil ne kiya (2)
yeh faisla jo dil ne kiya tab
yeh bhi na socha kaun ho tum
arre hum ne tum ko dil yeh de diya
yeh bhi na poochha kaun ho tum

Tere Liye Hum Hai Jiye

This has been probably the most famous song of the film and the best one in a long long time. It is the kind of song that will sound more melodious as decades pass.

We were all listening to all of these Veer Zaara songs together. That's when I asked Papu whether he liked this one the best and he said no. He likes "do pal ruka khwaabon ka caravan..." better. I too like that one a lot, but for me both of these song come at number one. Then again I am more partial towards Sonu's singing in "do pal". While we were talking I said that Roop Kumar Rathod has also done a fantastic job in singing (Lataji's singing is out of the question here) and he's probably the best choice, but to my surprise he disagreed. So then I asked who he thought could have done a better justice to the song. His said Kishore Kumar. I was quite surprised at that. :) I thought he'd have said Rafi but he didn't. It's not that I don't like Kishore Kumar but I haven't heard that many songs of him while growing up and since at home we had more music of Rafi sahab, I ended up listening to that only, and that "growing up" part has deeper connection so I tend to listen to those songs more often than any other ones.

After that chit-chat I shared my wild ideas with everyone about how I wished there was a gadget that would let us put in a voice of a person somehow and out comes a different song that we want any song that we want (depending upon the input parameters, of course) in that singer's voice. Aaah! what a miracle that would be. The answer I got was "if you can think of it, may be some day it will exist". I wish a gadget like that comes to existence someday... :D

As for this song, the less we say the better. It can't be said actually, I feel.

M: tere liye hum hai jiye honthon ko siye
F: tere liye hum hai jiye har aansoo piye
M: dil mein magar jalte rahe chaahat ke diye
tere liye (2)

F: tere liye hum hai jiye har aansoo piye
M: tere liye hum hai jiye honthon ko siye
F: dil mein magar jalte rahe chaahat ke diye
tere liye (2)

F: aa aa aa aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa aa

M: zindagi le ke aayi hai beete dinon ki kitaab (2)
ghere hai ab hume yaaden behisaab
F: bin poochhe mile mujhe itne saare ja3aab
chaaha tha kya paaya hai kya humne dekhiye
M: dil mein magar jalte rahe chaahat ke diye
tere liye (2)

F: kya kahoon duniya ne kiya mujhse kaisa bair (2)
hukum ka main jiyun lekin tere bagair
M: naadaan hai woh kehte hai jo mere liye tum ho gair
kitne sitam hum pe sanam logon ne kiye
F: dil mein magar jalte rahe chaahat ke diye
tere liye (2)

Do Sitaaron Ka Zameen Par

Favorite of everyone in the family, this song. Wish to watch the movie some day...

Meena Kumari and tents remind me of Pakeezah.

M: do sitaaron kaa zameen par hai milan aaj ki raat (2)
muskuraataa hai ummeedon kaa chaman aaj ki raat

F: aa rang laayi hai mere dil ki lagan aaj ki raat
saari duniyaa nazar aati hai dulhan aaj ki raat

Both: do sitaaron kaa jameen par hai milan aaj ki raat
aaj ki raat

M: husnwaale teri duniyaa mein koyi aayaa hai
tere didaar ki hasrat bhi koyi laayaa hai

muskuraataa hai ummeedon kaa chaman aaj ki raat

Both: aa do sitaaron kaa jameen par hai milan aaj ki raat
aaj ki raat

F: jin se milne ki tamannaa thi wohi aate hai
chaand taare meri raahon mein bichhe jaate hai
choomtaa hai mere kadmon ko gagan aaj ki raat

Lag Jaa Gale Ke Phir...

This was one of those songs that I got to hear from my neighbor when I was a kid. She was a teenager then and loved Lata songs to death. I didn't become a fan instantly but it was a gradual process because later on I got to hear some more ridiculous voices in the industry and realized how sweet this lady sounded, who later I found out was none other than Lata ji. :)

In fact, now that I think of it, she was a bigger fan of the Madan Mohan and Lata songs than just Lata songs. The haunting music is amazing!

Sadhana looks so beautiful and Manoj Kumar very handsome in this one.

lag jaa gale hmm hmm hmm..
haseen raat hmm hmm..

(lag jaa gale ke phir yeh haseen raat ho na ho
shaayad phir is janam mein mulaakaat ho na ho) (2)
lag jaa gale.. ey.. ey..

hum ko mili hai aaj yeh ghadiyaan naseeb se (2)
jee bhar ke dekh leejiye hum ko kareeb se
phir aap ke naseeb mein yeh baat ho na ho
shaayad phir is janam mein mulaakaat ho na ho
lag jaa gale.. ey.. ey..

paas aaiye ke hum nahin aayenge baar baar (2)
baahen gale mein daal ke hum ro le zaar zaar
aankhon se phir yeh pyaar ki barsaat ho na ho
shaayad phir is janam mein mulaakaat ho na ho

lag jaa gale ke phir yeh haseen raat ho na ho
shaayad phir is janam mein mulaakaat ho na ho
lag jaa gale.. ey.. ey..

Mehndi te vaavi maalave (Gujarati)

All these Rajendra Kumar talks on the Drift reminded me of the only Gujarati movie he worked in. It's Mehndi Rang Lagyo. It's almost believable he's a Gujarati the way he acts in the film and of course in the songs. Same with Usha Kiran. The way she carries off a cotton saari just makes her look more Gujarati than she already does.

There are two duets of Rafi sahab and Lata ji in this film. One being nain chakchur chhe and the other is this one.

This song, too, has two versions - one is a garbo and this one being the romantic duet. Enjoy!

F: mehndi te vaavi maaLave eno rang gayo gujaraat re
mehndi rang laagyo re

M: mehndi te vaavi maaLave eno rang gayo gujaraat re
mehndi rang laagyo re

F: ho mehndi muki me to rangeeli bhaat ni
M: maaLavaano mor ne dhel gujaraat ni

F: ho mehndi muki me to rangeeli bhaat ni
M: maaLavaano mor ne dhel gujaraat ni
F: maLyo mane man no maangyo
ke rang mane laagyo (2)
ke mehndi rang laagyo re
Both: mehndi te vaavi maaLave ne eno rang gayo gujaraat re
mehndi rang laagyo re

F: maaraa chhaayal no rang maari paayal no rang
maaraa kaajal no rang maara kanku no rang
mehndi na rang maa chhupyo anant? (2)
M: taari aankhyo no jhok? mane vaagyo
ke rang mane laagyo (2)
F: ke mehndi rang laagyo re
Both: mehndi te vaavi maaLave ne eno rang gayo gujaraat re
mehndi rang laagyo re

M: (ho koni te mehndi no rang tane laage
poonam gagan maa ne man maa vaage) (2)
F: maare ??? thodo rang jaagyo
ke rang mane laagyo (2)
F: ke mehndi rang laagyo re
Both: (mehndi te vaavi maaLave ne eno rang gayo gujaraat re

Dil-E-Betaab Ko Seene Se

Discovered this movie and the Rafi songs in it only today. It's unbelievable I didn't know of it until today, or may be I didn't realize it.

WHOA! what fantastic album... heard this one first from the collection. It's a beautifully picturized and very playful romantic song. It's so cute they have one of those tiny toy phones made out of two cups that they're holding while they sing. :)

M: dil-e-betaab ko seene se lagaanaa hogaa
aaj pardaa hai to kal saamne aanaa hogaa
F: aap ko pyaar kaa dastoor nibhaanaa hogaa
dil jhukaayaa hai to sir ko bhi jhukaanaa hogaa
M: dil-e-betaab ko seene se lagaanaa hogaa

M: apni soorat ko tu aye jaan-e-wafaa yoon na chhupaa
garmi-e-husn se jal jaaye na aanchal teraa
lag gayi aag to mujh ko hi bujhaanaa hogaa
F: dil jhukaayaa hai to sir ko bhi jhukaanaa hogaa
M: dil-e-betaab ko seene se lagaanaa hogaa

F: aaj aalam hai jo dil kaa woh bataaye na bane
paas aaye na bane door bhi jaaye na bane
main hoon madhosh mujhe hosh mein laanaa hogaa
M: aaj pardaa hai to kal saamne aanaa hogaa
F: aap ko pyaar kaa dastoor nibhaanaa hogaa

F: aap to itne kareeb aa gaye allaah taubaa
M: kyaa karen aap se takaraa gaye taubaa taubaa
F: ishq in baaton se rusvaa-e-zamaanaa hogaa
M: dil-e-betaab ko seene se lagaanaa hogaa

Bechain Dil Khoyi Si Nazar

When I had watched this movie a few years back, this was the one song that I loved the most. Of course, this wasn't picturized on the lead actor like "meri jaan meri jaan" was, but still there was something about this one that made me go gaga over it! The dance is very beautiful - Helen looks like a doll and Cuckoo is also a great dancer and to listen to the number is so much fun.

I still can't differentiate between the two voices of the singers so I've left out that detail.

bechain dil khoyi si nazar
tanhaaiyon mein shaam saher
tum yaad aate ho
ho ho

bechain dil khoyi si nazar
tanhaaiyon mein shaam saher
tum yaad aate ho

dil nahin pehloo mein reh gayi do aankhen (2)
ho jaane kya kya hum se keh gayi to aankhen (3)
sunsaan raaton mein aksar
jab chaand pe jaati hai nazar
tum yaad aate ho
ho ho
bechain dil khoyi si nazar
tanhaaiyon mein shaam saher
tum yaad aate ho

dil to deewana tha hum bhi kya kar baithe (2)
ho marz jaane kya tha kya dawa kar baithe (3)
ek aah thandi si bhar kar
un se koi keh de jaa kar
tum yaad aate ho
ho ho
bechain dil khoyi si nazar
tanhaaiyon mein shaam saher
tum yaad aate ho

hum to yeh samjhe the khatm hai afsana (2)
ho uth chuki hai mehfil reh gaya veerana (3)
hum ko na thi lekin yeh khabar
hum to kahenge reh reh kar
tum yaad aate ho
ho ho
bechain dil khoyi si nazar
tanhaaiyon mein shaam saher
tum yaad aate ho

Maula Mere Le Le Meri Jaan...

I enjoy listening to songs that have sufi flavor to them. This one being one of them... it's simply amazing! Heard this for the first time recently when I was watching the film; they play the main line of the song quite often throughout the film.

(chanting)

teejaa teraa rang thaa main to (2)
jiyaa tere dhang se main to
tu hi thaa maulaa tu hi aan
maulaa mere le le meri jaan (2)

teejaa teraa rang thaa main to (2)
jiyaa tere dhang se main to
tu hi thaa maulaa tu hi aan
maulaa mere le le meri jaan (2)

(chanting)

tere sang kheli holi
tere sang ki diwaali
tere angnon ki chhaayaa
tere sang saawan aayaa
fer le tu chaahe nazren
chaahe yeh churaa le
laut ke tu aayegaa re shart lagaa le

teejaa teraa rang thaa main to (2)
jiyaa tere dhang se main to
tu hi thaa maulaa tu hi aan
maulaa mere le le meri jaan (2)

mitti meri bhi tu hi
wohi mere ghee aur choori
wohi raanjhe mere woh heer
wohi sevaiyaan wahi kheer
tujhse hi roothnaa hai mujhe hi manaanaa
teraa mera naataa koi dooja naa jaanaa

teejaa teraa rang thaa main to (2)
jiyaa tere dhang se main to
tu hi thaa maulaa tu hi aan
maulaa mere le le meri jaan (4)

Mere Sapnon Ki Raani Tum Nahin Ho

At first it may seem like the "mere sapnon ki raani" song of Aradhana but it's not. It's a Rafi solo from film Jawaan Mohabbat starring Shammi Kapoor. This is one of my latest favorites. What a song! I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the songs of this film; yup, they're mostly Rafi songs. :D I'm surprised I had not heard songs from this movie until just last week. Such a shame!

Til I find the video of this song, enjoy the beautiful lyrics by Hasrat Jaipuri. Be warned about the MIO link for audio of this song though.

M: mere sapnon ki raani
tum nahin ho (3)

mere sapnon ki raani
tum nahin ho (3)

woh hai seedhi saadi bholi bhaali
hirni jaisi aankhon waali
haye mere sapnon ki raani
tum nahin ho (3)

(jo us mein adaa hai kisi mein nahin
jo us mein hayaa hai kisi mein nahin) (2)
mujhe meri jaan-e-wafaa chaahiye
mujhe to wohi dilrubaa chaahiye
mere sapnon ki raani
tum nahin ho (3)
woh hai seedhi saadi bholi bhaali
hirni jaisi aankhon waali
haye mere sapnon ki raani
tum nahin ho (3)

(agar muskuraa de woh jaan-e-bahaar
to barsaa kare aasmaanon se pyaar) (2)
agar naa?? aaye woh naazneen
to ho jaaye duniya mukkmal haseen
mere sapnon ki raani
tum nahin ho (3)
woh hai seedhi saadi bholi bhaali
hirni jaisi aankhon waali
haye mere sapnon ki raani
tum nahin ho (3)

ho mere sapnon ki raani
tum nahin ho (3)
woh hai seedhi saadi bholi bhaali
hirni jaisi aankhon waali
haye mere sapnon ki raani
tum nahin ho (3)

(ho
mil gayi (6)
mere sapnon ki raani mujhko mil gayi mil gayi) (2)

F: (ho
khul gayi (6)
tum mile to meri kismat khul gayi khul gayi) (2)

M: (dil mera deewana tha bin tere veerana tha
tere dum se baat bani warna ek afsana tha) (2)

ho
dhal gayi (6)
naagin jaisi kaali raina dhal gayi dhal gayi

F: ho
khul gayi (6)
tum mile to meri kismat khul gayi khul gayi

Aye Mere Dost Aye Mere Humdum

A song for today's the friendship day. This is the most emotional friendship song I've heard.

mujhe jab apni guzari zindagaani yaad aati hai
to bas ek meherbaan ki meherbaani yaad aati hai

(aye mere dost aye mere humdum
mere mohsin mere karam farma
woh mera gham tha ya khushi meri
har jagah toone mera saath diya) (2)
aye mere dost aye mere humdum

kaun tha tu kahan se aaya tha
aaj tak maine yeh nahin jaana
tu meri rooh tha magar maine
tere jaane ke baad pehchana
aye mere dost aye mere humdum
mere mohsin mere karam farma
woh mera gham tha ya khushi meri
har jagah toone mera saath diya
aye mere dost aye mere humdum

tu sudama bhi hai kanhaiya bhi
kanhaiya kanhaiya
tu sudama bhi hai kanhaiya bhi
tu bhikaari bhi aur daataa bhi
tere sau rang hai mere pyaare
tu hi pyaasa hai tu hi jharnaa bhi
aye mere dost aye mere humdum
mere mohsin mere karam farma
woh mera gham tha ya khushi meri
har jagah toone mera saath diya
aye mere dost aye mere humdum

tu meri bebasi ke aalam mein
jab kabhi mujh ko yaad aata hai
soch kar meherbaaniyaan teri
dil mera baith baith jaata hai
aakhari arz meri tujhse hai
har khataa meri dar guzar karna
woh ghadi aa rahi hai jab mujhko
is zamaane se hai safar karna
aye mere dost aye mere humdum (5)

Yeh Zindagi Usi Ki Hai

After listening to this song again today, I feel these people must come from some other divine world.

I don’t have words to describe this song - the voice, the music, the emotions, the instruments playing, the words.

It is when I listen to songs like this I want to thank God for this life, for giving me an ability to understand the emotions conveyed by these songs, and for making me exist on this earth in the times when these people exist. I feel so blessed.

aa aa aa aa

(yeh zindagi usi ki hai jo kisi kaa ho gayaa
pyaar hi mein kho gayaa) (2)
yeh zindagi usi ki hai

(yeh bahaar yeh samaa keh rahaa hai pyaar kar
kisi ki aarzoo mein apne dil ko bekraar kar) (2)
zindagi hai bewafaa aa aa aa aa aa aa aa
zindagi hai bewafaa loot pyaar kaa mazaa
yeh zindagi usi ki hai jo kisi kaa ho gayaa
pyaar hi mein kho gayaa
yeh zindagi usi ki hai

dhadak rahaa hai dil to kyaa dil ki dhadakane naa gin (2)
phir kahaa yeh fursate phir kahaan yeh raat din
aa rahi hai yeh sadaa aa aa aa aa aa aa aa
aa rahi hai yeh sadaa mastiyon mein doob jaa
yeh zindagi usi ki hai jo kisi kaa ho gayaa
pyaar hi mein kho gayaa
yeh zindagi usi ki hai

Tum Kya Jaano... Hum Kitna Roye

Been listening to C. Ramchandra songs today and loved this one a lot. It's sung with very less music and is quite a slow song. Lataji's voice is so pure and the music very melodious. Lyrics too are very beautiful.

For some reasons, this song reminds me of "tu mera chand main teri chandni" of Geeta Dutt.

tum kya jaano (2) tumhaari yaad mein
hum kitna roye (2)
rain guzaari taare gin gin (2)
chain se jab tum soye
hum kitna roye

kitni kaliyaan khili chaman mein
khilke phir murja gayi
birhan ke is bhole man ko
baar baar samjha gayi
ro ke jawaani kaati jis ne (2)
preet ke beeje boye
hum kitna roye
tum kya jaano tumhaari yaad mein
hum kitna roye (2)

kitne baadal ghire gagan mein
ghir ke phir na barse
pyaas dabaa kar dil ki dil mein
kitna tadpe tarse
dard hamara dil jaane ya (2)
naina khoye khoye
hum kitna roye
tum kya jaano tumhaari yaad mein
hum kitna roye (2)
