Chandan Sa Badan

I recently got a chance to play antakshari with 15 people and we all had an amazing time. The other team sang one of my favorite songs that I had forgotten. I like both the versions of this song equally for their singers, the raag Yaman and the music and of course lyrics. Also, it's a special song because it is the very first song that I learned how to play on a harmonium/keyboard. Youtube is a blessing now, I was able to find both of them on there and enjoyed watching them as well. Hope you'd like them too.

Male version:

hmm hmm hmm hmm...

(chandan saa badan chanchal chitavan
dheere se teraa yeh muskaanaa) (2)
mujhe dosh naa denaa jagwaalon (2)
ho jaau agar main deewaanaa
chandan saa badan chanchal chitavan

(yeh kaam kamaan bhanwe teri
palkon ke kinaare kajaraare) (2)
maathe par sindoori suraj
hothon pe dahekte angaare
saayaa bhi jo teraa pad jaaye (2)
aabaad ho dil kaa veeraanaa
chandan saa badan chanchal chitavan

(tan bhi sundar man bhi sundar
tu sundartaa ki moorat hai) (2)
kisi aur ko shaayad kam hogi
mujhe teri bahot zaroorat hai
pehle bhi bahot main tarsaa hoon (2)
tu aur na mujhko tarsaana

chandan saa badan chanchal chitavan
dheere se teraa yeh muskaanaa
mujhe dosh naa denaa jagwaalon (2)
ho jaau agar main deewaanaa
chandan saa badan chanchal chitavan

~~~~~*~~~~~
Female version:
(chandan saa badan chanchal chitavan
dheere se teraa yeh muskaanaa) (2)
mujhe dosh naa denaa jagwaalon (2)
ho jaaye agar dil deewaanaa
chandan saa badan chanchal chitavan
yeh vishaal nayan jaise neel gagan
panchhi ki tarah kho jaau main
sirahaanaa jo ho teri baahon kaa
angaaron pe so jaau main
meraa bairaagi man dol gayaa (2)
dekhi jo adaa teri mastaanaa
chandan saa badan chanchal chitavan
tan bhi sundar man bhi sundar
tu sundartaa ki moorat hai
kisi aur ko shaayad kam hogi
mujhe teri bahot zaroorat hai
pehle bhi bahot dil tarsaa hai (2)
tu aur na dil ko tarsaana
chandan saa badan chanchal chitavan
dheere se teraa yeh muskaanaa
Neha, I too adore it emmensely. Thank you!
Btw, it would be nice to hear you sing sometime. ;)
Darshit, I for some reason was not a HUGE fan of Nutan before until I saw her b/w films and then I totally felt mesmerized by her beauty. She is absolutely beautiful (love her eyes and shape of face, quite model like and if someone ever made a painting of an Indian actress, it would be her, I think) and is one of those actresses was taller than average, not to forget her ability to act.
Antakshari is so much fun, I too wish I got to play it with real music fans who don't run out of songs after 2-3 songs. :P
The Bollywood Lover, you're very welcome. Glad the lyrics were of help. Thanks for your comment. :)
Bhargav, Hi, welcome to my blog! You're so right about the song. Thanks for your kind words. I'll surely check out your blog. Thanks.
