Sharm aati hai magar...

One of my favorite songs of Saira Banu. Of course, it's not only her who makes it so but all other artists that make this one what it is, a gem that is. Absolutely love the music and lyrics of this one along with the singer! It's fun to watch it as well.

Today happens to be Saira Banu's birthday as well so wishing her lots of happiness, health and all that is beautiful just as she is. :) As I've said in the past too, this woman knows how to wear white sarees the best! I love that about her.

sharm aati hai magar aaj yeh kehnaa hoga (2)
ab hume aap ke kadmon hi mein rehnaa hoga
sharm aati hai magar

aap se rooth ke hum jitnaa jiye khaak jiye (2)
kayi ilzaam liye aur kayi ilzaam diye
aaj ke baad magar kuchh bhi na kehnaa hoga
ab hume aap ke kadmon hi mein rehnaa hoga
sharm aati hai magar aaj yeh kehnaa hoga

(absolutely love the music here)

der ke baad yeh samjhe hai mohabbat kyaa hai
ab hume chaand ke jhoomar ki zuroorat kyaa hai
pyaar se badhke bhalaa kaun sa gehna hoga (what beautiful eyes she has got in this part of the clip)
ab hume aap ke kadmon hi mein rehnaa hoga
sharm aati hai magar aaj yeh kehnaa hoga

aap ke pyaar ka beemaar hamaara dil hai (2)
aap ke gham ka khareedaar hamaara dil hai
aap ko apna koyi dard na sehnaa hoga
ab hume aap ke kadmon hi mein rehna hoga

sharm aati hai magar aaj yeh kehnaa hoga
ab hume aap ke kadmon hi mein rehnaa hoga
sharm aati hai hm hm hm...

It's a lovely song and you are so right about her eyes during pyaar se badhke bhalaa kaun sa gehna hoga . This song indeed has beautiful lyrics.

Do I love this song? Absolutely!

Reminds me about the other one - Kehna hai

Archana, hi! thanks for stopping by. Both Sunil Dutt and Saira Banu have acted so naturally in this one. I love how he too is smiley and shy when she is looking into his eyes. It's so cute. :) Agree about lyrics, specially in last stanza, it's the sweetest - all the things that are said.

Avdi, such a coincidence: while talking about our favorite songs today I just finished discussing about these two songs with my dad. It is one of his most favorite songs. I personally love both of them equally for how they've made both of them so unique and so similar (iqraar-karofying-songs). thanks :)
