Aap Ki Nazaron Ne Samjha

One word: divine! is all I can think of when I listen to this song. Lata Mangeshkar's voice is out of this world. She must have donated a lot of pearls in her previous birth or may be she was a Goddess!

The songs from this era are so much fun to even watch. Camera stayed at one angle for more than 10 seconds. Romance was shown so respectfully, no vulgarity, and you actually feel the emotion the song tries to convey and may be more... the connection between the video/audio and audience is tremendous! And to top it you have such beautiful voice doing justice to classical song and the controlled and just perfect acting by the actors and music just takes you into another dimension. Your heart feels it and there are no words to describe the feeling. There you have it in this song of Anpadh, portrayed in utmost classy way, the idea of surrendering to your loved one.

jee hume manzoor hai aap ka yeh faisalaa (2)
keh rahi hai har nazar bandaa parvar shukriya
hans ke apni zindagi mein kar liya shaamil mujhe

Mala Sinha looked absolutely stunning in this one! And the lyrics of the song convey the ecstacy of a newly-wed woman on her husband finally accepting her!

Beautiful!

Yup, totally. Mala Sinha has been so lucky.. she's gotten some of the best romantic hit HFM numbers picturized on her.

Yap! So true :)

Even Hariyali aur Rasta had such beautiful songs... Even himalay ki god mein :)

I love Hariyali aur Raasta songs. Also, my other favorites include Maya , Dil Tera Deewana, Dhool Ka Phool (though this one didn't have too many songs picturized on her but great songs nevertheless), Ujala... I can go on adding more and more to the list but I'll put up the lyrics and audio/video of them in coming days. :) I'll have to revisit the HKGM songs. We are on a roll today!

Check out songs of "Andaaz"
Uthaye jaa unke sitam - Lata
Hum aaj kahin dil kho baite - Mukesh

Mala Sinha - Jahan Ara.. !!

Aye sanam aaj yeh kasam khayen - Lata/TalatM
Phir wohi sham wohi gham - TalatM
Woh chup rahe to mere dil ke daag jalte hain - Lata

BTW, didnt Ujala have this awesome song
"Jhoomta mausam mast mahina chand si gori ek hasina" - Lata / Manna Dey. I think it was picturized on Mala sinha / Shammi Kapoor

Thanks, Senty. I will surely check Andaaz songs. Jahan Ara is my fav. I've posted two songs after I read your comment. :) Listening to "woh chup rahe to" now. Oh it's so beautiful!!

Absolutely right about the Ujala song. It's MS and SK sining under waterfalls! lol Mannada is my fav in this one. The way he has sung it is awesome. I never could think he'd give voice to Shammi Kapoor as I always related his screen voice to Rafi's but he's done great justice to SK's personality in this one. Trying to find the rest of the songs of Ujala and listen to them over this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

I listened to the song today and had to simply come here to check if your blog had it. I wasn't certain considering the limited Venn diagram of our interests. I am so glad you have it listed. Let me check a few more songs, that I am more certain, you won't have on this blog.
