Do Ghadi Woh Jo Paas Aa Baithe

Been listening to songs with outstanding abhinay by the artists. This was among of my favorites for the lyrics and music along with the acting/abhinay of both of these actors. First time ever I actually liked Bharat Bhushan and Madhubala looks so innocent with such expressive eyes. Truly gorgeous! As usual, the music/tunes of this song remind me of some other song but I can't pinpoint to which one...

M:: do ghadi woh jo paas aa baithe (2)
F:: hum zamaane se door ja baithe (2)
Both:: do ghadi woh jo paas aa baithe

M:: (bhool ki un ka hum-naseen ho ke
royenge dil ko umra-bhar kho ke) (2)
haaye kya cheez thi loota baithe
Both:: do ghadi woh jo paas aa baithe

F:: (dil ko ek din zaroor jaana tha
wahin pahooncha jahaan thikaana tha) (2)
dil wohi dil jo dil mein jaa baithe
Both:: do ghadi woh jo paas aa baithe

M:: (ek dil hi tha gham-gusaar apnaa
meherbaan khaas raazdaar apnaa) (2)
gair ka kyon use banaa baithe
Both:: do ghadi woh jo paas aa baithe

F:: (gair bhi to koyi haseen hogaa
dil yoon hi de diyaa nahin hogaa) (2)
dekh kar kuchh to chot khaa baithe

Both:: do ghadi woh jo paas aa baithe
hum zamaane se door ja baithe
do ghadi woh jo paas aa baithe

Glad you are still around posting stuff, I was beginning to wonder where you disappeared. Very good song - and Madhubala is so pretty, I can't imagine many men who wouldn't trade places with Bharat Bhushan.

Java, of course.. music is like air and water, specially when it's Hindi and Old. It's hard to live without it. I too think Madhubala is quite gorgeous and in this one her nakhra and adaayen are so natural. Lucky were the people who coexisted with her and got to see/interact with her in person.
