Chalo dildaar chalo...

Paayal ki chham chham, clap sounds and the haunting echo in their aalaap after second stanza, that's what I love about this one. And visually, absolutely love the waterfalls, floating boat in the moonlight, the moon playing hide and seek with clouds... and the way he holds her. :)

What marvelous lyrics.. and ever since I listened to this one on morning masti (Thursdays and Fridays they've been playing some of the greatest hits, golden oldies, of HFM) this morning and then on a repeat mode later in the evening, I have a hard time picking a favorite from this film: mausam hai aashiqaana or this one?

M: (chalo dildaar chalo chaand ke paar chalo
F: hum hai taiyaar chalo) (2)

aao kho jaaye sitaaron mein kahin (2)
chhod de aaj yeh duniya yeh zameen
duniya yeh zameen
M: chalo dildaar chalo chaand ke paar chalo
F: hum hai taiyaar chalo

hum nashe mein hai sambhaalo hume tum (2)
neend aati hai jagaa lo hume tum
jagaa lo hume tum
M: chalo dildaar chalo chaand ke paar chalo
F: hum hai taiyaar chalo

M: ho ho ho... ho ho ho... ho ho ho ho
F: ho ho ho ho ho... ho ho ho ho...

zindagi khatm bhi ho jaaye agar (2)
na kabhi khatm ho ulfat ka safar
ulfat ka safar
M: (chalo dildaar chalo chaand ke paar chalo
F: hum hai taiyaar chalo) (3)

I know Pakeezah has wonderful songs. But I love this one, for the romance. The echoing sound enhances the romance. If you listen to this song in the evening it nearly kills you.

Avdi, I think I would rather go with "mausam hai aashiqana" just for the music. Oh and actually lyrics too...

sooraj kahin bhi jaaye
tum par na dhoop aaye...

Four stanzas are just such a treat... :D
