Tum Ko Hamaari Umar Lag Jaaye

(tumhe aur kyaa doon main dil ke sivaay
tum ko hamaari umar lag jaaye (2)) (2)

muraade ho puri sajhe har tamannaa
mohabbat ki duniyaa ke tum chaand ban naa
bahaaron ki manzil se hansnaa hasaanaa
khushi mein hamaari bhi aawaaz sun naa
kabhi zindagi mein koi gham naa aaye
tum ko hamaari umar lag jaaye (2)

tumhe aur kyaa doon main dil ke sivaay
tum ko hamaari umar lag jaaye (2)

mujhe to khushi hai tumhe kyaa bataau
bhalaa dil ki dhadkan ko kaise chhipaau
kahin ho naa jaau khushi se main paagal
tumhe dekh kar aur bhi muskuraau
khudaa dil-jalo ki nazar se bachaaye
tum ko hamaari umar lag jaaye (2)

tumhe aur kyaa doon main dil ke sivaay
tum ko hamaari umar lag jaaye (2)

sitaaron se uncha ho rusva tumhara
bano tum har ek zindagi ka sahara
tumhe jis se ulfat ho mil jaaye tum ko
samajh lo hamari dua ka ishaara
muqaddar tumhara sadaa jagmagaaye
tum ko hamari umar lag jaaye (2)

tumhe aur kyaa doon main dil ke sivaay
tum ko hamaari umar lag jaaye (2)

I loved the song! Though the video is rather funny with Saira Banu performing... She couldnt carry a step well :)

Great song nevertheless :)

Saira Banu's dance steps are funny! :D But you know what I found out.. when this film was released and in theater when this song in movie played, audience threw money on her/screen for they loved her so much. Couldn't believe my ears when I heard it but found to be true later on.

It's an amazing song but even I always felt the picturisation was rather funny. Thanks for that trivia about people throwing money on her for this.

I remember watching this song as a girl with my friends and we laughed so much at Saira banu's funny dance steps!!

Archana, you're quite welcome. I'm watching the song yet again right now and I think her silly dance is what actually makes the song more exciting. Imagine if it were like a microphone song or just a party song, it wouldn't be nearly as much entertaining and this way, it's all nice and jolly, perfect for the two birthdays. :D Don't you think!

Rajani, I wish I get to watch it with you all. It'd be so much fun to sit and watch and analyze these songs/movies with everyone who's interested in discussing them.
