MukhDaa ni maaya laagi re.. Mohan pyaara.. (Gujarati)

Last week on my usual business trip to PA, I ran into Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. It was a very pleasant surprise for me and meeting him and his sons just made my trip so much more exciting than it usually is. They personally invited me to attend their concert that was happening at the Bharatiya temple there as part of a 10-day Shri Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Fortunately, despite parking being a challenge and lot of people not getting entry to the concert, I made it to the temple and to the concert both and felt utterly blessed to have attended the concert and the temple visit was simply divine! First time ever I felt this unique feeling of being in a temple and being engrossed in the aarti and it reminded me of aarti they do at Mata Na Madh in Kutch, Gujarat. It was truly an out-of-this-world experience! Any how, the concert was also very beautiful and it was great to listen to the magical sarod played by the maestro and his young boys. Both Amaan and Ayaan play amazing sarod as well and it was a treat to listen to them. All three of them took turns playing for almost three hours accompanied by Vineet Vyas on the tabla. It was a treat!! One of the pieces was so amazing I absolutely loved it. Too bad I forget the name of the raag it was based on but it kept on bringing me back to this song that I'm posting today. It was funny how my mind was playing tricks on me. I was so mesmerized by both the sarod's version of this raag and this song, which I am almost certain is based on the same raag, I had to post the song. It's a beautiful Gujarati bhajan by Meerabai about how she is fascinated by Shri Krishna's beautiful face and what it has done to her. You have to listen to it to enjoy it! The flute, tabla, manjira, and other instruments make it even more beautiful along with the beautiful voice of singer, Dipali Saumaiya.
